The roses this summer
Have you noticed the roses ? Can we ever get enough of their blousy red and yellow heads? I think not! They are as compelling today for me as when I first learned of these beauties. I of course adore the hybrids that we create into beautiful designs for so many special occasions, gifted by love, yet I am also intrigued by the all reaching arms full of the dear sweet summer roses crawling up the arbors and homes around here. My favorite, I believe to be, the sweet wild roses that grow without any help in our yard, that leave their sweet rose hips in the fall. I am sure you have noticed these blooms in our environ , and smelled their sweet fragrance in the air. Let's hear it for roses!

There is a house down the street that has a beautiful rose garden in their front yard, and there are bare root rose farms near base... I feel like it will be necessary to have yellow roses in Texas, don't you think?
